Members of Groupe Banque Populaire appointed to the Supervisory Board of the new central body of the future Groupe Caisse d’Épargne - Banque Populaire

Paris, June 17, 2009 - The college of Chairman of the Banque Populaire banks and the college of the Chief Executive Officers of the Banque Populaire banks have appointed the members of the supervisory board and the non-voting directors of the new central body of the future group.

Alongside Philippe Dupont, currently Chairman of Banque Fédérale des Banques Populaires, elected to take the chairmanship and become Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the new central body, the following have been appointed:
- Gérard Bellemon, Chairman, Banque Populaire Val-de-France,
- Thierry Cahn, Chairman, Banque Populaire d’Alsace,
- Pierre Desvergnes, Chairman, Casden Banque Populaire,
- Stève Gentili, Chairman, BRED Banque Populaire,
- Jean Criton, Chief Executive Officer, Banque Populaire Rives de Paris
- Bernard Jeannin, Chief Executive Officer, Banque Populaire Bourgogne-Franche-Comté

The non-voting directors are as follows:
- Alain Condaminas, Chief Executive Officer, Banque Populaire Occitane
- Christian du Payrat, Chief Executive Officer, Banque Populaire du Massif Central

These appointments have taken place in accordance with the law relating to the constitution of the new central body of the new group adopted by Parliament that provides for representatives of the member-stakeholders within the future supervisory board to be in the majority.

The Groupe Banque Populaire representatives will sit alongside the members appointed from Groupe Caisse d’Épargne, two representatives from the French State and two qualified individuals, representing a total of 18 members.
